More Young Patron events abound! On Wednesday, September 9th, we’ll gather at Riverside Cemetery for a very unique evening. We’ll start with a quick stroll from the front gate to the Macon Public Mausoleum (c. 1918), the final resting place of many of Macon’s most notable early citizens.
After taking in a little history, we’ll reconnect over drinks and light refreshments as the fall season starts to settle in. The mausoleum is only open a few times a year—big thank you to Riverside Cemetery for giving us this exclusive opportunity! This event will be open to all members at the Young Patron level.
Riverside Cemetery has been a resting place for Macon’s residents since 1887. The Historic Riverside Cemetery Conservancy was created to preserve, enhance, and share the beauty and history of Riverside Cemetery for the benefit of present and future generations. Year-round events and programs entertain and educate the public and preserve the cemetery’s historic relevance to modern culture.
