On October 19, we will gather at the mausoleum at Riverside Cemetery with Courtney McInvale, author of Civil War Ghosts of Georgia. Courtney McInvale is the founder of Seaside Shadows based out of Mystic, Connecticut. She is a licensed tour guide, published author, and actual descendant of accused witches.

Courtney has written three books for Arcadia Publishing and the History Press including Haunted Mystic (2014), Revolutionary War Ghosts of Connecticut (2016) and Civil War Ghosts of Connecticut (2021). Her newest book, Civil War Ghosts of Georgia, will be out this fall.

For this presentation, Courtney will take us on a journey through the war in Georgia's backyard. We will hear stories she uncovered doing research for her book, and learn how Georgia of present is still defined by the harrowing past of 1861-1865.
